Dental Crowns / Caps
Crowns and caps are one and the same. They are a great way to protect heavily restored or fractured teeth, as well as severely discolored teeth. At Hamburg Family Dentistry, we have become nearly metal free in all of our restorations. The old “PFM” (Porcelain fused to metal) crowns are good restorations, but not as lifelike as full ceramic crowns that we use in our office.
Our crowns are much more chip/fracture resistant than the old type crowns
These high tech computer generated crowns offered to our patients are metal free, using super strong Zirconia crowns for many years. They have great cosmetics, without any of the darkness at the gum line associated with traditional porcelain fused to metal crowns.
